D74.5mm Welded Flex Bellows
I. Core Features
As a precision metal elastic component, the D74.5mm welded flex bellows integrates flexible compensation and rigid bearing capacity relying on specialized welding processes and reasonable structural design. It is suitable for the harsh working conditions of small and medium-sized equipment, with the following core features:

welded flex bellows
D74.5mm Welded Flex Bellows
1. Precision Welding Process with Excellent Structural Strength
Adopting laser welding or microbeam plasma welding technology, thin metal diaphragms (usually 0.05-0.3mm in thickness) are alternately welded and formed along the inner and outer edges. The weld width is ≤0.3mm, and the heat-affected zone is controlled within 0.1mm, ensuring structural integrity and dimensional accuracy under the D74.5mm caliber. Compared with formed bellows, there is no overall plastic processing stress, and the multi-layer diaphragm stacked structure can withstand high internal and external pressures. The static sealing pressure can reach 0.1-20MPa, and the pressure adaptability under dynamic working conditions is still better than that of conventional formed products.
2. Multi-directional Flexible Compensation with Strong Displacement Adaptability
The corrugated structure is optimized for the D74.5mm nominal diameter, enabling multi-dimensional displacement compensation including axial, angular and lateral directions: the axial expansion and contraction amount can reach 30% of the free length, the angular deflection angle meets the installation deviation requirements of small and medium-sized pipelines, and the lateral offset capacity is suitable for equipment vibration displacement compensation. The stiffness of a single section of bellows is uniform, with precision controlled within ±0.1mm, which can accurately absorb the displacement caused by pipeline thermal expansion and contraction and equipment vibration, avoiding stress concentration at the connection parts.
3. Tolerance to Harsh Environments and Adaptability to Diversified Media
The main material can be 304/316L stainless steel, Inconel 718, Hastelloy C-276 and other corrosion-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials. Among them, 316L material can pass 1200-hour salt spray test, and the temperature resistance range covers -250℃ to 450℃ (depending on the material), which can be adapted to diversified working conditions such as corrosive media, cryogenic liquids and high-temperature gases. It has excellent sealing performance with a leak rate of ≤1×10⁻¹⁰ Pa·m³/s, which can meet the zero-leakage requirements of high vacuum, flammable and explosive, and highly toxic media.
4. Long Service Life, High Reliability and Low Maintenance Cost
After precision welding and stress relief treatment (hydrogen annealing process), the product has excellent fatigue life, with dynamic cycle times reaching more than 1 million times (tested in accordance with ASTM E8 standard). When used within the designed displacement range, the service life is much longer than that of formed bellows. It has strong structural stability and does not require frequent maintenance and replacement, which can effectively reduce equipment operation and maintenance costs, especially suitable for industrial scenarios with continuous operation.
5. Accurate Dimensional Adaptation and Good Installation Compatibility
The 74.5mm caliber is suitable for small and medium-sized pipeline and equipment interfaces. The end can support various connection methods such as flange, welding and thread, which can flexibly match the installation requirements of valves, pumps, instruments and other components. It can be compatible with certain installation deviations during the installation process, reducing construction difficulty.
